News from the Bounty...
The Bounty Community Farm greenhouses are bursting with vegetable and herb starts, the fields have been tilled, and it's finally time to plant! We need your helping hands -- please come out and meet Farm Manager, Evelyn Rosas, and Assistant Manager, JJ Mack, to help plant and grow this year's crops. For more details about best days and times to volunteer, contact farm@petalumabounty.org . All food grown supports our Bounty Hunters, Bounty Boxes, Farm Stand, and Farmers' Market programs. Be a part of this community effort to make healthy and affordable fresh food available to everyone in Petaluma!
In addition to the farm's plant starts, thousands and thousands more have been propagated in greenhouses around town for our 2nd Annual Bounty Plant Sale tomorrow! A big thanks to the generous support and hard work of Denise Ward and La Tercera Elementary School, Dr. John Shribbs at Casa Grande High School's native plant nursery, and the Rich Family for use of their greenhouse. Join us Saturday from 9-2 for a great day of plants, plants, and more plants -- local speakers, free tool sharpening, fun kids activities, gardening related organizations and businesses onsite to answer questions, and most importantly, all of you!
