Plano’s parks and nature preserves are popular venues for taking wedding, family, graduation and other memorable photos — and why wouldn’t they be? People love taking professional photos in our parks. However, generating trash, littering and blocking designated trails destroys our picturesque landscape and violates the posted park rules.
Environmental stewardship means responsibly using and managing the land and resources so they can be enjoyed now and in the future. For our parks to remain healthy and thriving, it is important to be good stewards every visit. Please remember proper photography etiquette in our parks by keeping trails free of equipment bags, stands, props and most of all litter.
Be a proactive steward of Plano’s parks and nature preserves:
- Properly dispose of litter
- Deposit pet waste in trash cans
- Do not disturb plants, animals or any part of the environment
- Stay on trails clearly designated for you
Preserve our nature preserves and parks. If you carry it in, carry it out!
