Register for Summer Camps and More!

Get a head start on registering your child for summer camps. A wide range of fun indoor and outdoor classes, camps and activities, including gymnastics, creative arts, fishing, water games, swimming, nature trips and more are available. Our indoor Camp Connections and outdoor Camp Cimarron programs are offered all summer long with full-day options. Search for summer camps at Recreation Online beginning Friday, April 5. For information about camps and programs for participants with special needs, please check the Adapted Recreation section of the catalog.  


Mark your calendar to sign up for all our great summer classes and activities! Registration opens at 8 am on Saturday, May 4 for Plano residents and 5 am on Monday, May 6 for everyone else.

Federal Grant Funds Change Lives of Planoites

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is one of the longest continuously run programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CDBG has provided the City of Plano with important flexible assistance to meet the needs of low-and moderate-income residents. This grant funds home rehabilitation, homebuyer assistance, homelessness prevention and a host of other services to residents. More than 20,000 Plano residents have been positively impacted by 35 years of these funds.

April marks the 50th Anniversary of CDBG. National Community Development Week celebrates the accomplishments of the Community Development (CDBG) Program.

City Council Meeting Update

The Senator Florence Shapiro Council Chambers is closed for renovations. City Council meetings will be at Davis Library through November 2024.


To speak at the City Council meeting, sign up via the online form by 4 pm on the meeting day. Onsite registration is not available.

Plano Arts Week

Plano Arts Week is an annual arts awareness initiative that showcases art all around the City of Plano! For one week, we direct our focus to the vibrant arts community shaping Plano’s cultural environment. ALL local businesses, workplaces, schools, churches and neighborhoods are encouraged to participate in #PlanoArtsWeek2024!

On-Call Collections Pilot Ends


Beginning May 1, residents in the On-Call Collections Pilot Program for bulky waste and yard trimmings will return to monthly bulky waste and weekly yard trimmings collections.
