NEXTGEN

Want to have an impact on the kids and students in our community? Here's your chance, because our NextGen ministry runs on volunteers. We're talking about big-hearted leaders who aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves, lean in, and have fun!

On Sunday, August 11 from 11am to 1pm, we'll meet in the Chapel to hear the vision of the ministry in the coming year and cover helpful information regarding classroom management, best practices, important safety protocols, and have an opportunity for role-specific training.

This is the first of two identical training sessions offered.

All volunteers who plan to serve with kids and students in the coming year must complete one session and successfully pass all child safety requirements. An alternative session will be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 6 - 8pm in the Chapel.

For more information, contact Leslie at Leslie@PiedmontChurch.org or Kerry at Kerry@PiedmontChurch.org

Sunday, August 11 | Tuesday, August 13

Let's light up the night and play glow-in-the-dark style. Bring a friend or two along for some fun. We’ll meet in the church parking lot Wednesday, July 31, 8pm.

SERVICE

Cookie Opportunity

The Mission Board is planning to serve dinner for about 150 men at CityTeam, an organization which serves people who are experiencing homelessness. This dinner will take place on the evening of Saturday, August 31.

We are looking for bakers to help provide cookies for dessert. If you are willing to bake at least two dozen homemade cookies, we would love to hear from you. These can either be brought to church on Sunday, August 25 to be stored in our freezer, or they can be brought to the kitchen on Friday afternoon, August 30 when many of us will be doing prep work in the kitchen.

If you are interested in helping with food prep or serving, look for an announcement in next week’s Messenger.
