SNSI Hits 100,000 Surgeries!!!
SNSI hit a HUGE milestone in April by facilitating our 100,000 th spay-neuter surgery. Tattoo, a young mixed breed pulled from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control by Last Call K9s in Idaville, represents SNSI's 100,000th surgery. "We were thrilled to have supporters, vets and rescue groups across Indiana celebrating along with us on this major accomplishment!", said SNSI President, Cheri Storms. "We couldn't have done it without you, nor the many donors and those who purchase the Pet-Friendly license plate!" SNSI invites you to continue to support its mission to have Indiana become a "no kill" state! Read more about Tattoo and our 100,000th surgery here.

Partners Help Promote Pet Friendly License Plate
In April, SNSI sent out packets of information to 68 partner organizations across the state about the Pet Friendly license plate. As our most successful fundraising program, the more plates sold, the most spay-neuter surgeries SNSI can facilitate. For every Pet Friendly license plate sold, $25 comes to SNSI for surgeries. In 2015, SNSI's was the #2 selling specialty plate. Help from our partners could help us reach #1!

Success Breeds Success
Everyone who works with cats knows that it is kitten season - the time of year when felines perpetuate the cycle of cat overpopulation. As Indiana strives toward "no kill", where no healthy or treatable animal is euthanized, several of SNSI's partners are doing amazing things to curb the problem and implement successful solutions, including:
- The Morgan County Humane Society experienced a 75% decrease in euthanasia after implementing a "Community Cat" program, with SNSI providing support. Learn more about Morgan County's amazing start and their ongoing work:
- In Indianapolis, euthanasia numbers have declined by more than 80% in the last 10 years thanks to low-cost spay/neuter options from groups like the FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic.
