Construction Update on East-West Pedestrian Improvements
Waterfront Seattle continues progress on east-west pedestrian improvements in Pioneer Square. Only finishing touches remain on S Main St west of 1st Ave S, and construction has started east of 1st Ave S. Construction of Yesler Way improvements are underway.
Meanwhile, work on S Washington St west of 1st Ave S continues – brick pavement patterns showing the original shoreline of the waterfront were installed several weeks ago. You can check out the timelapse of that work here.

Neighborhood Spotlight: NAST Studios | |
|
This month, we're spotlighting NAST Studios. Created by Blake Burton in August 2023, NAST Studios is a podcasting studio that handles everything you might need to host your own podcast, including audio/video recording, editing, consulting, and much more.
Blake enjoys being in the Pioneer Square neighborhood because of the supportive business community. "I'm new to being a business owner and I want to feel comfortable asking questions and learning from my neighbors. The fact that there are so many venues in my area too, is huge for me!" Blake says. "I interview artists on my podcast and Pioneer Square is constantly showcasing all different forms of art. I genuinely feel that I chose the right location to start my business."
