Construction Update on East-West Pedestrian Improvements


Waterfront Seattle currently has three active work zones in the neighborhood, including S Main St between 1st Ave S and Occidental Ave S, S Washington St between Alaskan Way S and 1st Ave S and Yesler Way between Alaskan Way S and 1st Ave S.

You're Invited: Midday Mixer at Central Saloon on August 20th

Come have lunch, enjoy live music, and connect with your neighbors next month. Our second summer networking event is on Tuesday, August 20th from 11a - 1p at the legendary Central Saloon

Free Waterfront Shuttle Available until September 2nd


The free Waterfront Shuttle runs until September 2nd, stopping at key locations including Pioneer Square, the Seattle Center/Space Needle, Belltown, Pier 69, Pier 56, and King Street Station, and International District. This service is supported by the Alliance for Pioneer Square, Friends of Waterfront Park, and Seattle Historic Waterfront Association. Click the link below to learn about the route.

Extra Clean Kits Available by Request

Clean Kits are available for neighborhood ground-floor or upper-floor businesses.


Following a successful Spring Clean 2024 this past May, we have extra Clean Kits on hand for neighborhood businesses. Clean Kits work great to clean up your facades, windows, or interiors as needed.


If you're in need of a Clean Kit, please email info@pioneersquare.org to coordinate a drop-off with one of our team members. If you need additional items, please let us know.

Second Thursday Art Walk: July 11th, 2024

Join us this month for a special Second Thursday Art Walk. The date is moved to the second Thursday of the month in observance of Independence Day. The art walk is FREE & self-guided and parking is free from 5p - 10p at participating garages. Neighborhood Spotlight: Long Bros. Fine & Rare Books

This month, we're spotlighting Long Bros. Fine and Rare Books, a book store that specializes in Pacific Northwest Americana, Chinese history and culture, modern first editions, underground movements, and fine art. Established in 1996 as a natural progression of proprietor Jeffrey Long’s historical and bibliophilic interests, the new brick-and-mortar shop aim to provide more opportunities and options for unique book lovers in the neighborhood and beyond. Prepare to spend hours exploring the shelves, and keep an eye out for the bar opening soon inside.

Downtown Summer Sounds Returns to Occidental Square


Downtown Summer Sounds is back! Local and national bands are gearing up for the 45th year of our free summer concert series. This year’s program includes over 30 outdoor performances from July 5—Sept. 10, 2024. From hip-hop and folk-pop to psychedelic punk rock and bluegrass, there’s something for everyone. Upcoming concerts in Occidental Square are on Thursdays, July 11, 18, 25 starting at 4:30p. Full lineup at downtownseattle.org/dss.



Chief Seattle Club's Summer Clothing Drive until August 30th


Chief Seattle Club is hosting a Summer Clothing Drive from now until August 30th and would appreciate your support. There are two donation bins located in the neighborhood, one located at ʔálʔal Café (122-2nd Avenue S) and Cone & Steiner (135 S King St). You can also donate through Chief Seattle Club's online wish list on their website.
