Construction Update on East-West Pedestrian Improvements

Since starting on S Main St between 1st Ave S and Alaskan Way S in January, the City is getting ready to re-open this section to traffic as early as Friday, April 5th – now newly paved and including a pattern of the original shoreline running through S Main St. Work will continue with landscaping and other final touches on this block, and parking will continue to be restricted in this section until that work is complete.

Click here to watch a timelapse of the crew installing the pattern of the original shoreline in light and dark-colored bricks on S Main St.

The Waterfront Seattle team will be at the Pioneer Square Spring Market on Saturday, April 13 in Occidental Park. Stop by to ask questions or learn more about the project.
