The Arizona Small Business Development Center (AZSBDC) Network hosted by the Maricopa County Community College District is proud to announce Pima Community College will be the new host for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) serving Pima and Santa Cruz Counties. "We are excited to welcome back our long time community partner and previous SBDC host Pima Community College! The strategic alignment between the Arizona community colleges and the SBDC is strong," stated Janice C. Washington CPA, AZSBDC State Director. "P ima Community College is placing a greater emphasis on working with business partners, so we are delighted to renew and rejuvenate our relationship with SBDC. The SBDC is a vital partner in our communities, and we are honored to host the Center at Pima," commented Pima Community College Chancellor Lee Lambert .

Last night, the Pima Community College Governing Board approved hosting the SBDC. The Pima Community College SBDC will be one of ten SBDC Service Centers in the AZSBDC Network, a nationally accredited program through America's SBDC. About the AZSBDC Network

For more than 25 years, the AZSBDC Network has fortified emerging and established business owners with management and technical assistance, enabling overall growth and increased economic impact throughout the state. The Network consists of Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) and a specialty program, the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). The AZSBDC is an innovative partnership between the United States Small Business Administration, United States Department of Defense, nine community colleges and one non-profit business. Last year alone, the AZSBDCs served more than 3,600 entrepreneurs through workshops and training and provided more than 3,100 business owners with no-cost confidential one-on-one counseling from one of our professional business advisors. This resulted in more than 1,400 jobs being created or retained; nearly $77 million in sales growth; more than $60 million in capital accessed; and 319 new businesses started.
