DYBIA Trespass to Property Sticker Pilot Program

Dear Downtown Yonge businesses, property owners and staff,

The Downtown Yonge BIA is pleased to be partnering with 51 Division at the Toronto Police Service to bring a new and innovative pilot program to the neighbourhood.

To ensure more seamless processes for TPS regarding Trespass to Property enforcement, we are piloting a new sticker program that will be given to businesses once they have completed an updated Trespass Authorization form.

These stickers will be placed on the front windows of businesses, and will allow officers to see instantly which businesses have current Trespass Authorization forms that can be enforced.

Below are more details on the program and the steps to follow to participate.

The Pilot

In order to better aid officers in enacting the Trespass to Property Act, the DYBIA has created stickers for businesses to display on their store windows with the goal of detracting unwanted behaviours, and to enable officers to better see which businesses have trespass letters in place.

This pilot is available to all businesses within the Downtown Yonge BIA boundaries.
