Piano Notes from Mike Strickland 
Fall/Winter 2015 

Greetings Everyone!

The Strickland Family is staying busy with performing, practicing and some travels. Here's my dog, Bo and I in the photo on Bourbon St. in New Orleans. Bo even had a chance to sample some beignets and chicory coffee at Cafe Du Monde but he prefers fried catfish with red beans and rice.

Family pride: I've got a concert this Sunday with my very talented daughter, Elizabeth also on piano. We'll be doing Rhapsody in Blue for 4 hands on one piano. This is a special moment for me as a dad because I grew up listening to and loving The Rhapsody and here I am getting to perform it with my daughter.  Very special! It promises to be an exceptional concert. I'll share some footage of it in our next newsletter so stay tuned!

Our lives continue to revolve around our two Aussies.  Ava is herding sheep and Bo is taking flyball lessons. They continue to teach us about love, dedication and loyalty.

Jordan Bailey, 14 years old, is one of my favorite singers I've ever performed with.  We have a great musical synergy.  Check out this video of "Summertime" we did in a concert last summer when she was 13.  Jordan recently auditioned for Capitol Records. Expect big things from this young lady.
