Dear Friends,

Earlier this month I returned from a 2,000-mile road trip to Wilmington NC, Charlotte NC, Newberry SC, Laurens SC, Radford VA, and Roanoke VA. Along the way I visited two universities, a hospital, a museum, a Public Radio Station, a nature conservancy and collector's homes.

At my first stop in Wilmington, I delivered two sculptures donated by the Dorothy M. Gillespie Foundation to the University of North Carolina, a third sculpture donated to the New Hanover County Government Center and a fourth sculpture donated to the Novant Hospital. (See photos below)

In South Carolina, I visited Dorothy Gillespie collectors in Newberry and Laurens. (See photos below).

In Radford, I delivered two outdoor sculptures donated by the Dorothy M. Gillespie Foundation to the Selu Conservancy (an area of land kept in its natural state, especially for wild animals and plants to live in and be protected). Selu was founded in 1989 when John Bowles donated 185 ancestral acres to Radford University. (See photos below)

While I was in Roanoke, I visited the Carilion Clinic to photograph a sculpture donated by the Dorothy M. Gillespie Foundation in 2016 and one donated to the WVTF-FM, Virginia's public radio station in 2010. (See photos below)

Below are the two sculptures donated and delivered to the new expansion of the Randal Library at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington.
