New Library Assistant

Please help me in welcoming our new library assistant, Mrs. Gina Leiby. Gina is a former Pennell parent, but still a proud Penn-Delco parent. She started in the Pennell library last week, and is very excited to start working with our children.

SPRING ART SHOW AND CHORUS CONCERT

What an incredibly awesome night of the arts we had this past Thursday! The halls and gym were packed with friends and family. Our artists and singers did an amazing job showing off their talents and impressing the crowd. Huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Gordon and Mrs. O'Kane for all of the time and dedication they give our kids every year. They both topped themselves this year, for sure.

IMAGINE BRANDYWINE

Pennell student art will go up at the Brandywine River Museum of Art this Tuesday, 5/14 for the Imagine Brandywine exhibit. Please make the trip to see this awesome display of our many artists. Mrs. Gordon worked with the our penguins all year to prepare for the installment. She said that choosing the pieces was the hardest thing she has ever had to do.

The exhibit will run Tuesday through the end of September. Tip: the museum has free admission on the first Sunday of each month with activities for children. Register ahead so that they can have enough supplies if you plan to take advantage of a first Sunday.

Click below to visit the museum site for more details about exhibits, opening times, tickets, and more.

ENVIONMENTAL CLUB COLLECTS GLASSES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ASTON LIONS CLUB

Usable Glasses Give New Life

Refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses, yet millions living in low and middle income countries lack access to basic eye care services. Lions have recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses and collect usable glasses in their communities to support the Lions Recycle For Sight Program.

"Usable glasses can make a difference! Lions and Leo Clubs help to conserve sight by providing usable eyeglasses to children and adults throughout the world."

YOUR USED CRAYONS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Mrs. Pringle, 2nd grade teacher, is collecting used crayons with a donation bin outside of her classroom, 211. The crayons will be donated to children's hospitals via The Crayon Initiative and turned into new crayons for patients. Information can be found here
