Summer Reading Program

We would like to encourage all our Pearl students to participate in this summer's reading program, Summer Reading Road Trip. There is a map going home today along with stickers to fill in each time a student reads 1 hour. The goal is to read 10 hours over the summer. Each student who makes the goal will get a homework pass upon their return in the fall. Research has shown the average student loses about 2 months grade level in reading over the summer or as much as 4 months in math. The importance of continuing to read over the summer can make a huge difference.

Club Kare

Kare Youth League's Summer Camp program is once again being offered at Rio Hondo Prep in Arcadia. It is one of the best camps around with themed weeks including: Arts & Crafts, Robotics, Science & all new this year "Level Up Gamers Week". The camp is packed with plenty of fun and learning including a weekly excursion.

Pearl Family Beach Day

Ahoy there! Get ready to ride the wave of fun with the fam on Friday, May 31st at Seal Beach Lifeguard Tower #1 by the Pier (8th St. Entrance). It's shore to be a great time filled with sun-soaking, high-flying kites, and sandcastle adventures. Remember to pack your sunscreen, shades, and beach towels for a splashing good time. Can't wait to 'sea' you there!
