It is time for the United Nations, founded to 'save succeeding generations from the scourge of war', to live into the next stage of its great mission. We can support this ideal on the International Day of Peace by claiming, from Sept. 21st forward, the Right to Peace."

FRIDAY, SEPT. 19th
 
 

Peace Day - September 21

 is a worldwide day that provides an opportunity to take action - personally, locally and/or globally -  toward a more peaceful world.
Some use the platform of Peace Day for humanitarian activities like delivery of mosquito nets & vaccines, or volunteering in their communities.
Some focus on programs for the environment/community greening.  
Others use the to teach/learn practical peacebuilding skills,   
or to highlight important peace related work happening year-round.
Still others gather for diverse peace-related activities related to the arts, faith, community building, sports for unity, intercultural dialogue, reconciliation, meditation and health.
