Historical Tidbit: Where in the world is Bridgewater, Massachusetts?
Bridgewater is located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which is one of the six New England States. Part of Plymouth County, Bridgewater has the geographic coordinates: 41.9903° N 70.9756° W and is in the Eastern utc-5/-4 time zone. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is ranked 44th of 50 states in size at 10,555 square miles.
Of the 351 cities and towns in the commonwealth, Bridgewater is ranked 99th in size at 28.23 square miles; of that 27.49 is in land and 0.33 in square miles of water.
Massachusetts is bordered by New Hampshire and Vermont - north, New York - west, Rhode Island and Connecticut - south and the Atlantic Ocean - east. 
Bridgewater is bordered by East Bridgewater and West Bridgewater north, Halifax on the east, Middleborough on the south, and Raynham on the west. Bridgewater is 8 miles south of Brockton; 27 miles south of Boston; 29 miles northeast of Providence, Rhode Island; and 210 miles from New York City. So that's where Bridgewater is!

A half-day field program for ages 5 - 12, children participate in a variety of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, animal visits and water days. The program runs Mondays through Fridays, 8:30a - 12:30p, Now through August 19th. Choose a schedule that fits your family's plans, and schedules can vary weekly. Come join the fun!

The Keith Parsonage, 199 River Street, WB

Built in 1662 for the Rev. James Keith, Old Bridgewater's first fulltime minister. During King Philip’s War, the town voted to use the parsonage as a garrison house for the protection of the town’s inhabitants.Today, the home contains many examples of life in Colonial America including a hearth with a bee-hive oven and
hand-hewn beams.

Care Packages needed for Sailors and Marines

July 2-18th

All donations and letters must be received in the parish office at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
Fr. Bill Devine, Pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Bridgewater, was contacted by the Chaplain and a Public Affairs Officer of the United States Navy and Marines due to his military background.

THESE ARE THE REQUESTED ITEMS. PLEASE LIMIT YOUR DONATIONS TO THIS LIST ONLY: Beef jerky, Sunflower seeds, Protein bars, Drink mixes for flavored water, Chocolate bars, Gummy candy, Popcorn, Trail mix, Granola bars, Vitamins, Warm socks, Magazines, Paperback books (no hardcovers), DVDs, Old iPods, Tobacco dipping products (long cut Copenhagen and Zyn brands).

He was made aware of an important need for care packages to help support Marines and Sailors currently embarked on the USS KEARSARGE, the USS ARLINGTON and the USS GUNSTON HALL. The military personnel who contacted Fr. Devine indicated that these items would go a long way in boosting the morale of our troops who have been deployed for quite some time. The military is also accepting support letters written to the troops. Letters may be returned to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 103 Center Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324.
