Get ready to run or walk to support WPCP for our annual 5K - rain or shine. Our DJ will be playing your favorite tunes to get you in the Grizzly spirit! Everyone is welcome and you don't need to be a runner to come and have fun! Dog friendly!

We are also seeking volunteers to help on the day of the event at Payton's Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk. There are different shifts starting at 8:15am-1:30pm Volunteers can help with set-up, check-in, routing volunteers/leaders, passing out water and more. With your help, this event will be be a roaring success! | |

FOP COMMUNITY MEETINGS
Payton Community Meetings:
The next FOP meeting is on Wednesday, September 13, 6-7pm via Zoom. We also send out the Zoom link the morning of the meeting to your email inbox!
Principal Shabazz kicks off each Payton Community Meeting with an informal talk about what's happening at school, and is available for questions. All parents and guardians of Payton students are encouraged to attend.

* Annual Appeal Class Captains: Our Annual Appeal Co-Chairs are looking for captains to join our team! Our Class Captains ensure we connect effectively with all of our Payton families regarding the important role of raising much needed funds for our school. We are looking for behind the scenes and outreach roles, so there is something for everyone! No amount of help is too small. CPS Level 2 Volunteer Application:
All volunteers MUST have a CPS Level 2 certification and approval from Payton. If you have CPS Level 2 certification from another CPS school, Payton MUST be added to your CPS profile and Payton needs a copy of your Photo ID on file. Bring your ID to the main office or upload it using the link below. Please go to the CPS Level 2 Volunteer Application for steps to register. See the Friends of Payton Volunteer page for more information and to submit your Photo ID. For questions, please contact FOPvolunteering@gmail.com.
Once you have signed up with CPS, you may proceed to sign up to volunteer at Payton. FOP will work with the WPCP office to facilitate your speedy approvals.

IMPORTANT ATHLETICS INFORMATION
Winter Sports Paperwork:
The Player Record Packet only needs to be completed once per school year. If you completed it for a Fall Sport, you do not need to complete this again. However, a physical is only valid 395 days after the examination date. Please email new physicals to cnunnery1@cps.edu to stay eligible.
Student must complete (with CPS Email) SY 23-24 Payton Athletic Player Record Packet. The documents required to be uploaded in section 3 of the Player Record Packet are:
