SENIOR HIGHLIGHTS 2024

In the coming weeks leading up to St. Luke's May 18th commencement, we will showcase the remarkable Class of 2024 by celebrating their journey, achievements, and mark on St. Luke’s. We’re celebrating where they’ve been and where they’re headed! Let’s cheer on the Class of 2024 as they transition to the next chapter of their lives, reminding them, “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!”

St. Luke’s loves you!

THE RED DOORS & FOND FAREWELLS: CELEBRATING THE CLASS OF 2024

The class of 2024 experienced one of our most cherished traditions, “Walking the Halls,” as they bid farewell to the youngest Wildcats on Japonica before doing the same on the University Campus.

For many of these seniors, walking through the infamous red doors of the lower campus held a special significance, a moment filled with nostalgia and reflection, a reminder of how far they’ve come! The next time these students pass through the red doors, they will do so as alumni, carrying with them the lessons and memories of their formative years.

Walking the Halls of the upper campus made us realize they are one step closer to their future, ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities, and we couldn’t be more proud!

ROSE PEREZ IS A MILLIONAIRE CLUB STAR!

Rose Perez has consistently demonstrated an exceptional commitment to reading, earning her a place in the prestigious Millionaire Club each year she has been eligible. The Millionaire Club, a recognition program for students who reach the milestone of reading one million words within a school year, has celebrated Rose's achievements annually, highlighting her as a standout participant. However, this year, Rose’s accomplishments have reached new heights, surpassing her previous record and setting a new benchmark for the lower campus!

In her final eligible year, Rose has impressively read over six million words, a feat that places her well beyond the requirements of the Millionaire Club and into the realm of record-breaking!

BUOYANT BUILDERS: MRS. HAYNES' PHYSICS CLASSES SETS SAIL

Mrs. Haynes’ physics classes took a dive into Archimedes’ Principle & buoyancy through a hands-on project that was as educational as it was entertaining. After exploring the theory behind why objects float or sink, the students were tasked with an exciting challenge: to build their own boats using only cardboard and packing tape. The culmination of their efforts was tested at the home of the Holt’s (current family!)

Stepping into their boats is always a mix of excitement and apprehension, as they want to see how well their designs can resist water and stay afloat. Despite the varying degrees of success, every attempt was a learning opportunity!

MS. HANNAH GRACE'S 6th GRADE STARS TAKE US DOWN A RABBIT HOLE WITH A SHORT ADAPTATION OF ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Our 6th-grade theater class recently took us through the whimsical world of “Alice in Wonderland.” The entire show was a delightful adventure that allowed each student to showcase their growing theatrical talents! Kudos to Ms. Hannah Grace for guiding our young actors through the characters' complexities and the nuances of stage performance. This was a valuable learning experience for the students, teaching them the importance of teamwork, dedication, and the joy of bringing stories to life on stage.
