Forest Drive Update

The contractor is completing final items between Mt. Vernon Road and 5th Avenue. The road is open to property owners only.

Between 5th Avenue and Bever Avenue, the contractor is working on underground utility installation; this work will continue for the next few weeks. Once the underground work is complete, crews can pave the road.

The contractor is currently ahead of schedule; we anticipate Forest Drive will be open to all traffic by end of September.

Memorial Drive Update

Bever Avenue to Mount Vernon Road

Reconstruction of Memorial Drive continues to progress. Starting Wednesday, July 17, work will transition to paving operations between Meadowbrook Drive and Mt. Vernon Road. During this time, residential driveways will be temporarily inaccessible for approximately three weeks. This is to allow crews to place new concrete curb, gutter, driveway aprons, and street. Please make use of neighborhood side-street parking during this time. The contractor will work as quickly as possible to complete the paving and restore driveway access.

Looking ahead, we are waiting for ideal temperatures before placing new sod. This may occur later this summer in August, pending weather.

Memorial Drive Update

Mt. Vernon Road to McCarthy Road

Construction work is wrapping up on this section of Memorial Drive. Remaining work includes raising the manhole covers to match the new street surface (which should be completed by the end of next week), minor grading, and completing sod placement.

We continue to wait for ideal temperatures before sod placement can occur. This may occur later this summer, possibly in August.
