Construction Update | 3-5-24

Construction is set to resume on Center Point Road between H Avenue and J Avenue this Thursday, March 7th.

Improvements will include pavement reconstruction, sidewalk replacement, ADA sidewalk ramps, on-street bike lanes, utilities (water main, storm sewer, sanitary sewer), and conversion of the roadway from one-way to two-way traffic.

Center Point Road NE will be closed from north of H Avenue through J Avenue for the duration of construction.

This closure includes the intersections at I Avenue and J Avenue. The intersection at H Avenue will remain open. Detours will be posted for through traffic. The project is expected to be complete mid-summer this year.

About the Project

This project began construction in mid-summer or 2023. The stretch from Lincoln Avenue to H Avenue was complete in the fall of 2023 and the stretch from H Avenue to J Avenue is expected to be complete in the mid-summer of 2024.
