CAR T-Cell Therapy Available

CAR T uses the body’s immune system to fight cancer.

Approved by the FDA in 2017 for a variety of blood cancers, CAR T-cell therapy induces a “complete response” — where no remaining cancer is detectable — in 50 to 80 percent of patients treated with it, depending on the cancer type.
