Office of Vocations
National Vocation Awareness Week
National Vocation Awareness Week (NVAW) is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
NVAW began in 1976 when the US Bishops designated the 28th Sunday of the year for NVAW. In 1997, this celebration was moved to coincide with the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, in January. It has since been moved to the first full week in November.
This year we are celebrating with Mass and Adoration daily for Vocations at 6:30 PM at the following parishes:
Monday, 11/06 – Our Lady of Grace, 6 Roosevelt Blvd, Beverly Hills
Tuesday, 11/07 – Christ the King, 821 S Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa
Wednesday, 11/08 – Our Lady of the Rosary, 2348 Collier Pkwy., Land O' Lakes (Spanish)
Thursday, 11/09 – St. Joan of Arc, 13485 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill
Friday, 11/10 – Cathedral of St. Jude, 5815 5th Ave. North, St. Petersburg (with Bishop Parkes).
Thank you for your prayers for vocations.
