Hello everybody!

School's out! Time for summer reading! Come to the Summer Reading Registration Party on June 26th to find out all about this year's program. We have a new Warwick Children's Book Festival Teen Committee, another Minecraft Challenge, lots of volunteer opportunities, and a host of new ways to win the Unmask Reading Challenge this summer. Stick around after registering to play some Just Dance and make your own sundae. See you there?

On a sad note (but completely congratulatory) I have to say goodbye to some of my favorite seniors who have volunteered and participated in library programs over the past few years. Kayleigh, Narciscus, Jen, Silvana, Lily, Melanie, Jordan, and so many more of you... I will miss all of you. Good luck in all you do!

Happy reading and writing,
Dianne

Battle of the Books 2015

Registration begins today!

In-House Battle
August 4, 6pm to 8pm
Open to grades 7 and up

It's time to gather up your team of up to 4 players for the annual Battle of the Books! Read the required 8 titles (don't worry, you can divide and conquer) to compete in the local in-house Battle on August 4. Battlers will answer trivia questions based on the 8 titles for fun and prizes. Everyone leaves with a free book! Ten lucky winners will take their place on our regional team to compete against other area libraries in September.

This year's titles are:

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (classic)
Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan (contemporary)
The Maze Runner by James Dashner (fantasy)
Nothing Can Possibly Go Wrong by Prudence Shen (graphic novel)
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith (historical fiction)
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green (humor)
Down the Rabbit Hole by Peter Abrahams (mystery)
Temple Grandin by Sy Montgomery (nonfiction)

Books are available for pick up starting TODAY! Register at the Help Desk.
