The University of Scranton and Trinity High School share a common mission: to educate young men and women in the Catholic tradition through rigorous academics and a focus on holistic learning. We have partnered together to offer Trinity students guaranteed admission to the university, including to competitive programming.
The University of Scranton will guarantee admission for bachelor’s-level programs to graduates of Trinity High School who have a 3.00 GPA (as calculated by the university) and either a 1080 SAT (ERBW & Math) or a 22 ACT Composite score. Students who meet the above criteria will receive, at minimum, an annual $15,000 scholarship with a total value of $60,000.
The University of Scranton will guarantee admission to Trinity High School graduates to the following entry-level programs according the criteria listed below:
- Occupational Therapy (5-year master’s program),
- Nursing (bachelor’s degree), and
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (guaranteed seat for 7-year program).
Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 and either a 1270 SAT (ERBW & Math) or a 27 ACT composite score. Students who meet the above criteria will receive, at minimum, an annual $18,000 scholarship with a total value of $72,000. In order to qualify for guaranteed admission, Trinity High School students applying to these programs must apply Early Action to the University of Scranton and complete all application requirements by November 15 of their senior year.

here. Students who wish to take advantage of these programs should submit an application and supporting documentation (Trinity transcript and standardized test scores) prior to admission. The application fee is waived for Trinity students. The University of Scranton takes a holistic approach to reviewing its applicants, valuing many factors in the admissions decision, including coursework, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, leadership, community service, and extracurricular activities. The University of Scranton’s offer of admission is contingent upon the applicant maintaining good academic and disciplinary standing.
