Guaranteed Admissions Program
Trinity High School and DeSales University
DeSales University and Trinity High School have partnered to offer qualified Trinity students guaranteed admission and a merit scholarship.

DeSales University will guarantee admission to Trinity High School seniors who apply to DeSales University and meet the following criteria:

  • Students must have a 3.0 GPA and a 1000 SAT (with a minimum of a 500 in each section) or a 21 ACT composite. These students will receive, at minimum, a $15,000 four­-year award with a total value of $60,000. Trinity High School graduates will also receive a Catholic School Grant, which is an annual $3,000 scholarship with a total value of $12,000, for a total minimum merit scholarship of $72,000.

  • Students pursuing majors in nursing, science, and mathematics must have a 3.0 GPA and either 1130 SAT (EBRW & Math) or a 23 ACT composite. Students who meet the nursing criteria will receive, at minimum, a $15,000 four-year award with a total value of $60,000. Students will also qualify for the Catholic School Grant of $3,000 per year, for a total minimum value of $72,000 for the package.

Students pursing DeSales' accelerated healthcare majors, including the Physician Assistant Program and Doctor of Physical Therapy, will be guaranteed an interview according to the following criteria:

  • 3+2 Physician Assistant Program -- Students must have a 3.2 GPA and either 1220 SAT (EBRW & Math) or a 25 ACT composite. Qualifying students will be invited to interview with the Physician Assistant Program for entry into the limited seat 3+2 PA program. Students will receive, at minimum, a $15,000 four-year award with a total value of $60,000. Students will also qualify for the Catholic School Grant of $3,000 per year, for a total minimum value of $72,000 for the package.

  • 3+ 3 Doctor of Physical Therapy Program -- Students must have a 3.5 GPA and either 1270 SAT (EBRW & Math) or a 26 ACT composite. Qualifying students will be invited to interview with the Physical Therapy Program Director for entry into the limited sear 3+ 3 DPT program. These students will receive, at minimum, a $15,000 four-year award with a total value of $60,000. Students will also qualify for the Catholic School Grant of $3,000 per year, for a total minimum value of $72,000 for the package.

In addition to meeting the guaranteed admission standards, students interested in majoring in any of the Performing Arts majors must audition/interview with a faculty member to be accepted artistically to DeSales University. 

Admissions to DeSales University is based on a student's past academic achievement, as well as his/her potential for future growth. The university uses a rolling admissions system, except for physician assistant and health science applicants, who must apply by December 15 for the following fall semester. DeSales University's offer of admission is contingent upon the applicant maintaining good academic and disciplinary standing.
