Orlando Health St. Cloud Earns ICU Award

Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital, the city's second largest employer, continues to provide exceptional service. Its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has received its first corporate Certified Zero Award, which recognizes teams that provide quality healthcare and prevent patient harm events in five areas.

“This is an amazing milestone for the Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital team, for this community and our patients,” said Brian Wetzel, president of Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital. “That is not only a remarkable performance, but also a clear demonstration of the focus this team has on providing world-class healthcare to our St. Cloud community.”

In addition to the ICU, the Medical Unit and Surgical Unit will be recognized for their first Certified Zero Award in February.

Talented Workforce is Industry Standard

When thinking of business attraction, most folks “with skin in the game” first think of workforce. Why? Because access to high qualified and skilled talent equates to less downtime and higher productivity. People with skills and/or education offers immediate cost savings to any employer. Look no further than St. Cloud.

St. Cloud is located in Osceola County and boosts more than 14,000 workers. Our population is continually growing—2.96% annually to be exact. And so is the economy! In fact, our MSA is responsible for 20% of the Florida economy.
