Partner with TSF to impact your culture!

It's the season of giving! The Shevchenko Foundation (TSF) is grateful for the support and unwavering faith of our donor-partners in our mission to promote the rich and dynamic Ukrainian culture in Canada in all its diversity.

We do this by supporting initiatives of the Ukrainian Canadian community and our Canadian artists whose

commitment and creativity are inspiring. This work includes the very generous and heartwarming response to the needs of thousands of Ukrainians displaced in Canada by the war.

With your help, we can do so much more. We invite you to become part of our story by including TSF in your year-end giving.  When the very existence of Ukrainian culture is being threatened, your donation will contribute to a bolder and even more meaningful Ukrainian Canadian cultural identity.

As we prepare to celebrate the Christmas season with our beautiful traditions let us keep the Ukrainian people and their defenders in our prayers. May the Christmas Star herald Ukraine's long-awaited peace.

Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas! May your new year be healthy, prosperous, and part of the TSF story!

Together, we are one culture strong!

Christ is Born! Let us glorify Him!

Христос Раждається! Славімо Його!

DISCOVER THE CREATIVITY

proudly supported by the Shevchenko Foundation

TSF is proud to have supported Open House  – a short film that will have its official public Toronto premiere during the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival on December 17 @ 9 pm, Innis Town Hall Theatre.

Open House is the story of a 75-year-old woman who has grown old alone. Determined not to be a party of one for eternity (or God forbid, a third wheel), she sets her sights on finding the right companion for whatever it is that awaits her next.  She holds an open house with the hope of cashing in on her investment.

TSF proudly supported Open House. Written and directed by Rayisa Kondracki, the film stars Luba Goy and Simon Sinn.

OPEN HOUSE Trailer

We're excited that two films supported by TSF are being screened in the Festival. Flyer Boys by Taras Lesiuk (featured in last month's e-bulletin) will be shown on December 16 @ 9 pm.

James Temerty awarded National Hero Honour

James Temerty

Congratulations to James Temerty on being recognized by Canada’s Walk of Fame with the National Hero Honour! The award, presented at a Gala held in Toronto on December 3, recognizes Canadians whose selflessness, dedicated efforts, and outstanding contributions have made a significant difference in the lives of others.

TSF is grateful for the long-standing, unwavering partnership of James and Louise Temerty in building a permanent endowment fund that will always support an evolving and dynamic Ukrainian Canadian culture.

Representatives of the Ukrainian community in the photo above proudly joined in thanking James Temerty for his unparalleled contribution to strengthening our community in Canada. Mnohaya lita!

And for those who were unable to participate in person, Canada’s Walk of Fame 2022 will air THIS Saturday, December 17 at 7 pm ET/PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app! https://bit.ly/37oD1IE
