Congratulations!!

Future Congressional Leaders

4th and 5th grade students participated in the district’s first Elementary We the People Competition where they simulated a congressional hearing. Students studied the U.S. Constitution and responded to a series of questions about the compromises the Framers of the Constitution made, the Bill of Rights, the role of government, and the rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizens. They spoke eloquently and passionately about the principles of American democracy.
