Special Features Set for August Long Weekend


Entertainment Hub Hosts Drag Slot Tournament, Hot Country

VANCOUVER, B.C., July 29, 2024 – Parq Vancouver will show its pride and love for the community at large with special features taking centre stage leading up to and throughout the August Long Weekend at the downtown casino and entertainment hub (39 Smithe Street).


Parq will help locals and visitors alike proudly fly their flags high with food, drink and entertainment events that include:



  • Getting the long weekend off to a fierce start on Thursday, August 1 at 5:30 p.m. on the main floor of the Parq Casino when queens Tiffany Ann Co and Wan-Ting Moi host a Drag Queen Slot Tournament featuring a $1,000 free-play prize pool;


  • A cocktail for a great cause — guests can enjoy a feature Love & Hibiscus Spritzer(Tanqueray Malacca gin, hibiscus & grenadine simple syrup, soda, $17) at the Centre Bar and Lotus Lounge, with a dollar from every drink donated to the Vancouver Pride Society;



  • The delicious return of Parq’s signature Rainbow Pride Cake to the menus at Parq restaurants Honey Salt, the Victor, D/6 Lounge and BC Kitchen, as well as tables available to be booked for parties with live DJs at D/6 throughout the weekend;


  • A heel-kicking good time during a Pride Weekend edition of Hot Country Nights at BC Kitchen on Friday, August 2 starting at 9 p.m. that features a DJ, specials on beer, whiskey and bottles and a midnight slider drop.
