Howelsen Hill Season Updates | Thanks to a boost from Mother Nature and a newly repaired snowmaking pump, things are ramping up at Howelsen Hill and we hope to start opening additional terrain soon. Limited Nordic terrain is open with mostly machine made snow around the base area. Crews will work to groom the higher elevation Nordic trails as conditions warrant. Check the online Nordic map for daily grooming details and open trails. The Murphy Roberts Holiday Classic Alpine races will take place Wednesday, Dec 20 and Thursday, Dec 21. Tube Howelsen is expected to open mid-December and online booking will be available soon. The free community sledding hill is expected to be built and available to the public in late December. As a reminder, snowmaking operations are still ongoing, so please steer clear of snowmaking equipment for your safety. We look forward to seeing you at Howelsen Hill this season.

Brews & Building Community | We want to thank our friends at Mountain Tap Brewery for the ongoing support of Howelsen Hill and Ski Free Sundays. This past week, a few of the Howelsen Hill crew joined the master brewers at Mountain Tap to brew a fresh batch of Howelsen Haze IPA. We look forward to celebrating and tapping the new batch later this season. In addition to supporting a signature beer, Mountain Tap also helps keep the free spree rolling on Ski Free Sunday. Show your Ski Free Sunday ticket between 2 PM and 4 PM every Sunday this season and receive a free cauldron of popcorn or a free pint of select beers. Thank you for your continued support of Howelsen Hill!
