This Sunday's Prayer for the Transition

Almighty God, giver of every good gift, look graciously on St. Paul’s and so hear the prayers of our parish family as we look to you for guidance during our transition period and search for a new Rector. We pray that you will lead us to a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries. Grant us perception, faithfulness and joy, so that we may hear your voice in all our deliberations. Grant us also the desire and the ability to truly hear each other and those who will assist us through this process; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A note of thanks to St. Paul's for a successful food drive.

Your donation of over 100 pounds of food and a generous financial contribution

will be very helpful to our pantry. We served over 1200 people last month. The

need increases daily. Thank you so much again for your thoughtfulness and

generosity!   -Susie-

Your Hit Parade

It's our tradition during the summer months to ask parishioners for their hymn requests. It's time to ask to hear your all-time favorites!

Requests must be in the Episcopal Hymnal and seasonally appropriate. No Christmas in July! We will also exclude hymns that have been sung in church since June. There is a notebook for your requests in the back of the church, near the Liberty Street door.

During the summer vacation, St. Paul's will be taking care of filling the Loving Kindness Food Pantry in our Prayer Garden. Please bring non-perishable food items. Cans with a pull tab are preferred.

Operation Christmas Child

Now that you’ve got some school supplies for your shoebox, it's time to think about games! Yes…the Dollar store has lots of small size games that are perfect. Dominoes, playing cards, jacks, slinky, toy cars, and more. Just fill the box with lots of fun items. We will collect the shoeboxes in November.

You are encouraged to donate $10 which is used for training local churches, providing The Greatest Gift Gospel booklets, shipping, etc. You can do this online and track where your shoebox goes. Or you can write a check to Samaritan's Purse, put it in the envelope attached to the How to Pack a Shoebox pamphlet, and mail it. Pick one up along with a preprinted Christmas Child shoebox at the back of the church and in Donaldson Hall. When filling a box, you'll want to provide toys, personal care items and school supplies. Decide whether it will be for a boy or girl, and age 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14. Age specific suggestions can be found at

 https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/

If you have any questions, please email or call me at barbackermann@gmail.com or 443-797-4569. Have fun filling your box and pray to spread the Good News! Barb Ackermann
