MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Christine Pacioretty will be the guest speaker for the Tuesday, October 4th meeting and will discuss a very important topic: Comprehension. The presentation will focus on the importance of visualization for enhancing comprehension, as well as fluency’s impact on comprehension.

Christine is a gifted teacher, education consultant, doctoral candidate, and owner of Pacioretty Academic Support Services. Not only does Christine successfully help students reach their full potential through one-on-one instruction, she is skilled at guiding parents to help their students at home, too. Last year, many found Christine’s presentations at the HP Literacy Coalition meetings very helpful, and we expect the October 4th 9:30am meeting will be just as beneficial to HPISD families.

Parents with students of all ages are invited to the meeting and no RSVP is necessary. For more information, visit ddpc.org.

Due to substantial changes made to the Texas Dyslexia Handbook and Handbook FAQs last year, we took down our website to update it. While everything is not yet perfect, this great resource could not go unused for any longer.

Parents in HPISD are encouraged to utilize the website as a helpful resource and share it with other parents, even those outside of the district. Explore ddpc.org today!
