Pastor's Class Information

Greetings Parents! I hope all is well and Spring is springing for each of you. As Lent ends and Easter approaches, we are looking to Pentecost, the birthday of the church. We are hoping to have a Pastor’s Class before then so we might have some baptisms as part of our celebration.

We like to consider the Pastor’s Class starting around 4th grade. This is not a hard requirement, so please reach out if your student is ready to start considering baptism, even if they are a little older or younger.

Taking the Pastor’s Class does not mean the student has to choose baptism, only that they will be given information and the chance to ask questions and consider how they want to participate in our church life. This also means that taking the class as a review is appropriate. We will try to partner each student with an elder as a mentor, so they are not just hearing from the pastors. I’m hopeful to have as many voices from our church family as possible involved in the conversations with our students.

If you know your student is interested in joining the Pastor’s Class, please reach out to me. How we schedule the class will depend on the availability of participants.

I’m excited as we continue to journey together to share this special moment with our families.

Peace and Grace to y’all,

Pastor Chesna

We Need You!

We are still in need of a few good Sunday School teachers for our children and youth. No experience is required. You are enough! We usually work on a month on and month off rotation, but if you are available on different timing, we will work with you.

We also need volunteers for VBS! There are so many ways you can serve before and during this week. We need set-up helpers the week before, small group leaders, game leaders, craft and marketplace helpers...and more. If you are available, we will find the right job for you! If you are interested in helping with any of these volunteer opportunities, please contact Pastor Chesna or Dawn Ziesmer.
