Creating with Bezalel
(by Chaya Kaplan-Lester, Jerusalem Post) "In this week's reading Moses introduces the people to Bezalel - the master artist and constuctor of the Mishkan, the Tabernacle.
His name: Be-tzel-El means "in the shadow of G-d, and indeed, he was a true artist, inspired by the creator himself. As with much of the content of the parsha this is almost a word for word repetition of last week's text. There it is God who introduces Bezalel to Moses. Both introductions are essentially a three-verse long run-on sentence ennumerating Bezalel's divinely endowed gifts. They tell of his talents of working with silver, gold, brass, stones, wood. Yet there is one difference between the two; one addition to this week's telling that was not in the last. Here Moses adds a fourth verse which introduces another type of skill altogether. He says that God gave Bezalel the ability "l'horot" - to teach, to instruct. Suddenly, amidst all of these technical skills Moses brings in the craft of educating others in how to create. ...

- Instructional videos to demonstrate the COYOT method of study. This Internet platform allows for regularly developing and supplementing new information and learning material.
- Access to your teacher who will review copies of your work, answer any specific question and give you constructive encouragement to complete the project.
- Receive a Certificate of completion at each milestone you accomplish.
- Interact, meet new friends, and share your experience with other participants on an International network of Torah and Hebrew learners. Our SHABBAT EXPERIENCE on February 18, 2011 in
Glandale, Arizona was a wonderful experience. The food was out of this world and we had a great time saying the prayers and singing Shabbat songs with lots of friends. What an uplifting way to welcome Shabbat.

Emergency Volunteers Project
Here is an opportunity to go to Israel, see and learn more than any tour could possibly offer.
The AVP program is training Firefighters, Medical Teams, Bomb Shelter Teams, Infrastructure, Food Distribution & Aid Team to be ready to deploy in a time of need.
The Emergency Volunteers Project (EVP) is training highly qualified individuals and groups spanning national, ethnic and religious boundaries that in time of national emergency are willing and able to come to Israel and work with Israeli emergencies services and municipalities.
The EVP is seeking to recruit firefighters, paramedics, nurses, psychologists, social workers, Security personnel, plumbers, electricians, building inspectors and volunteers to prepare and distribute aid and food to those in bomb shelters or confined to their homes.
The goal of EVP is to reinforce local Israeli emergency services and to provide additional professional manpower necessary to respond to emergencies and to save lives.
The EVP special training insures the integration of volunteers into their designated services in time of emergency and bring about a smooth and productive integration to maximize their effectiveness.
Each volunteer is brought into the inner circle of those who are involved in guarding the physical safety of the people of Israel. EVP provides a comprehensive, hands on training, education and personal experience that are unmatched by any tour or mere travel program. You'll learn about the dangers facing the Jewish people, how to be a guardian and provide help in time of emergency, learn Hebrew and history, make new life-long friends and travel to see parts of Israel outside of the beaten path.
EVP provides training programs in the USA and in Israel. The next training program in Texas is scheduled in Garland Fire and training Center, 1500 E. State Highway 66, Garland Texas. March 6 to March 11, 2011 if interested, contact Uri ASAP.
