Strong & Courageous
Devotion of the Week: "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). This Sunday is Confirmation Sunday where our 8th grade Confirmands will publicly renew their baptismal vows, confess their faith in the Triune God, and promise to be faithful to God and His Church. These 8th graders have been taught the Christian faith in their homes, in their Catechism classes, and for those that went to school at St. Peter, have been nurtured and educated in a Christ-centered environment for many years. We pray that these Confirmands are strengthened daily through God's Word and continue to faithfully attend worship. We also pray for all who have been baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith that God's Word may give them strength, courage, comfort, peace, and hope as they too, remain faithful in their vows. May God continue to bless our 2024 St. Peter Lutheran School Confirmands: Brooklyn Brenner, Aiden Grunow, Landon Sherry, Landon Wardin, and Josie Wolgast.
Serving in Worship: The Cherub Choir (grades 2-4) will be singing in church this Sunday. Please have your child(ren) in the music room at 9:10am to warm up. Thank you!

Summer Worship Schedule: Our summer worship schedule begins this Thursday, May 23. Services will be on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm and on Sunday mornings at 9:30am. This will continue through Labor Day weekend. Our sanctuary will be under construction from July 8 - mid-November. During these months of construction, our worship services will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

Congratulations to Hannah, Larkin, and Dean!

  • Best Supporting Actress: Larkin McQueen as Hortensia
  • Best Actress: Hannah Biber as Matilda
Published Authors: The Kindergarten class received their books last week in the mail. These are books in which they were the authors! They were really excited to take these home and share with their families.
Band Concert: Our band students had their band concert at VLHS on Tuesday evening and they did a great job! Pictured below are some of our band members: Charlotte Starke, Dean Thomas, Connor McKenzie, and Landon Sherry.
Open for Business: The first graders were able to have their own classroom Marketplace on Wednesday this week to end their unit about economy. The students learned about supply, demand, and profit. They also had to fill out applications for the business license. Each student was in charge of creating their own product or service. It was a great learning experience for them and they were able to put their Sherry cash to good use.
Artists of the Month: For the month of May, we have two artists to celebrate, 1st graders, Braxton Ledesma and Carter McQueen. Their works of art are featured in the hallway outside the 7th-8th grade classroom. Congratulations, Braxton and Carter!
Learning about Bees: Mr. Dan Keane, "Bee Keeper Extraordinaire", visited our Preschool classes this week. He shared all about bees, the pollination process, and how bees make honey. We want to thank Mr. Keane for educating our youngest students and even letting them try fresh honey!
Vice-Principals of the Day: Darlene & Noah Jungnitsch
VPs Lead the Way: The Vice-Principals did a great job on Wednesday and had a lot of support on their spirit day. They were able to experience a day in the life of a vice-principal. Below is their article about their day's work! Thank you to Mr. Andy Wolgast for making the name plates for our Vice-Principals.
From the Desk of our VPs: Wednesday was our Vice-Principal Day. We were very excited to do this. Once we arrived to school, Mr. Hagenow gave us clip boards with a packet of paper that we used to evaluate teachers and students and to inspect classrooms. Next, we greeted people at the door. At chapel, we had to give a speech telling everybody what we were having for lunch, what we would be doing, and to remind students to look in the lost and found bin. Once we came back from chapel, we got right to work on our paper packet and started inspecting every room. We still were able to have our recess time and we played Cherry Bomb. After recess, we worked on our i-Movie, and the first thing we had to do was take a group photo with our classmates: Trekstyn, Kaiden, Annabelle, and Savannah. After we took a couple more photos, we needed to greet the Kindergarteners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders for lunch. Once our class came into the gym for lunch, we went to wash our hands, and then we were able to grab our lunch: macaroni & cheese, mixed veggies, strawberries, and a brookie for dessert. It was delicious! Next we went back to inspecting all the teachers rooms and some of the students behavior. We were still able to attend art class and did texture things, and then we went outside to do the rest of the shots for our i-Movie. The last thing we needed to do was this report about our day and that was the end. IT WAS VERY FUN! -Ms. Darlene Jungnitsch & Mr. Noah Jungnitsch
