Three Shows in Five Months!

It's springtime in Grand Rapids, or so we hear.

Between the Florida Audio Expo, AXPONA, and the upcoming High End Munich, whatever time we have left after new product development, sales, marketing, and product fulfillment is taken up with prepping for some of the biggest shows in the audio business.

Not that we're complaining. Our team on the ground thrives on face-to-face contact with the dealers and consumers who, like us, are dyed-in-the-wool audio enthusiasts interested in chatting about all things relating to the market.

In particular, AXPONA was a blast. Pangea Audio Distributing's Vulcan audio furniture, Record Doctor vacuum cleaning machines and accessories, and Vincent Audio electronics were featured in no fewer than eight displays throughout the show. It seems that no matter where we turned, a rack with a Pangea Audio logo was within reach. We love that.

While our presence in Munich won't be as widespread, it will be nearly as deep. Check out the article on the where's and when's of the show, along with a roundup of praise for the Record Doctor X vacuum record cleaning machine, and a Pangea backgrounder with our Director of Global Sales, Steve Niemi.

See you soon, and if you are going to be at the show in Munich, please plan on saying hello, live and in person.

Cheers,

Pangea Audio Distributing

AXPONA '24: North America's Biggest Audio Show; Ours, Too!

The 2024 edition of AXPONA was a knockout success for all concerned, especially exhibitors who, like Pangea Audio Distributing, had their wares seen and heard by nearly 11,000 attendees over the course of the three-day show.

For us, it was a chance to spread out in six separate displays, where we featured the best of our Record Doctor vinyl care, Vulcan furniture, and Vincent Audio gear with some of our favorite industry colleagues.

Over the course of the show, visitors checking out rooms sponsored by AMPED, Cinetec, ATC Loudspeakers, Fidelis Distribution, American Audio & Video, Nexus Audio Technologies, Alta Audio, and Infigo Audio listened to systems that were supported by our ultra-rugged-yet-remarkably-affordable Vulcan racks and stands.

Next Stop:

We hold a special affinity for High End Munich here at Pangea Audio Distributing.

Not that it's our biggest show, but its overall mammoth exhibition space is an audio fanatic's dream, and those are the people we both cater to and recruit to join our ranks.

This year, we will once again join our friends at Sintron in their ample display space: Hall 4, Booth V13/W17. There, you will find a wide selection of Vincent Audio electronics, Record Doctor vinyl care products like our Record Doctor X vacuum record cleaning machine, and some of our most popular Vulcan audio racks and stands.

And that's just our corner of the show. The four-day event is famous for being the ultimate audio wonderland, featuring current and upcoming products from some of the leading names in the business and newcomers who will be on our radar sooner rather than later.

All told, it's an audio event that is not to be missed. For readers who will be on site, please stop by and say hello. Everyone else, stay tuned for a show recap in the next issue.

The Record Doctor X Vacuum Record Cleaning Machine is a Hit!

In less than six months since its arrival, the Record Doctor X is proving to be one of our most successful introductions to date, and it's no wonder. Record Doctor X features the same vacuum motor and cleaning strip as previous models, with the added benefit of a vacuum swing arm that vacuums the top surface while the bottom is vacuumed via a slot under the strip. In addition, the new model includes a bi-directional rotation motor, alleviating the need to turn the record by hand, and a screw-on 5” clamp that safely secures and protects the record.

It also comes as no surprise that the press reception among the first round of reviewers is consistently clear and positive. The Absolute Sound's Tom Martin describes it as, "...a simple, effective, valuable and affordable improvement for many vinyl lovers," while Mike Mettler of Analog Planet says, "For listeners - like myself - who may have been content with a simpler approach to clearing their records, the Record Doctor X is a wise next step on that journey to cleanliness… In my use, the cleaner did a better job of making the discs quieter than my other methods. There was also what I believe was a notable reduction in static electricity in both feel and sound."

Pangea Audio Distributing's Director of Global Sales, Steve Niemi, summed it up when he said, “The so-called vinyl resurgence blossomed into a full-blown, thriving category with more music lovers returning to the format every day. Record Doctor X gives this growing audience a super-efficient, cost-effective tool for cleaning and preserving records for years of listening pleasure.”
