Panama City is one of the most cosmopolitan capitals in Central America, it is both a vibrant metropolis and a gateway to incredible tropical escapes. On May 5, 2024 Panamanians elected José Raúl Mulino to be their next president. Mulino is a lawyer and previously served as minister of security and minister of foreign affairs. This is a key opportunity to meet the incoming leadership and learn of upcoming opportunities to engage with new projects and investments. 

Panama's immigration laws are amongst the most liberal in the Western Hemisphere with over a dozen residency visas so foreigners can become permanent residents by investing in Panama's economy for as little as $100,000 USD.

The economy of Panama is based mainly on the tourism and services sector, which accounts for nearly 80% of its GDP and accounts for most of its foreign income. Services include banking, commerce, insurance, container ports, and flagship registry, medical, health resorts, and tourism. 

Our agenda will get more detailed as we get a better idea of the Delegates who are joining us and their businesses. The more we know about your goals and needs the more we will be able to fine tune our schedule to include everyones interests. We would like to keep the group to a maximum of 12 Delegates so space is limited.

Agenda: July 10, Wednesday- Depart from IAH- United Airlines flight 1034- Departing Houston at 2:31 pm arriving Panama City 6:37pm

Sunday-July 14- Return to Houston via United Airlines flight 1033- Departing Panama at 3:40 pm and arriving Houston- IAH- at 8:00 pm.

You will be met at the airport and transported to the Hilton Panama (4.5 Star Rating) Balboa Avenida &, C. Aquilino de la Guardia, Panama City, Panamá Province, Panama Located within one kilometer of downtown Panama City. The Cinta Costera, Multiplaza Mall, canal tours, and the Casco Viejo UNESCO site are all within a 10-minute drive.

Delegates will have the opportunity to meet with government officials and business leaders. Panel discussions and formal presentations concerning trade and investments are on the second day of the mission and informal networking and one on one opportunities include a cocktail reception and an official dinner. You will have a day at the Colon Free Trade Zone. It is currently the world’s second largest free trade zone – trailing Hong Kong. In the CFZ, a U.S. exporter can sell to one merchant, duty free, and then expect to see his products distributed and retailed throughout Central America, the Caribbean, and South America as a result. An individual consumer can purchase items for personal use from all over the world also duty free. A trip to Panama would not be complete without seeing the natural beauty and history that is abundant. We will have a visit to the Panama Canal, The City of Knowledge, Casco Viejo(Old Town), and San Blas.
