Gospel at the Procession with Palms — Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem (Luke 19:28-40).
First Reading — In spite of my sufferings I am not disgraced. I am not put to shame (Isaiah 50:4-7).

The Message of Christ's Love |
From the proclamation of the Gospel at the beginning of the liturgy, we know that Palm Sunday is different, not only because we hear two Gospel passages, or because we hold palms and move in procession. Sunday begins Holy Week, a time set apart, a week in which to listen, pray, reflect, and take to heart the truth of Christ’s passion, crucifixion, death, and ultimately, resurrection.
It takes a week, and a lifetime, to truly hear the message of Christ’s love. It is difficult for us to comprehend that Jesus willingly sacrificed himself, so we must hear the story again and again. Let this week be for us a new moment of faith in which we, together with the criminal who was crucified with Christ, cry out, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
Please note, Palms will be distributed at all Masses this Sunday in honor of Palm Sunday.

During Lent, and especially Holy Week, we recall how God so loved the world that he sacrificed his only Son. We walk the "way of the cross" to remember how Jesus took on the sins of the world and opened the gates of Heaven for us. Every Friday during Lent our Ministry groups will take turns leading Stations of the Cross. This Friday, April 8th at 6pm at Queen of the Rosary, Men's Group and Marriage & Family Ministry lead.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament family and friends on Friday, April 8th at 6:30 p.m at Queen of the Rosary Church (750 W. Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove Village, IL). for Healing of the Family Tree & General Physical Healing. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with the Eucharist is the most powerful means of healing intergenerational iniquity and transgression referred to in scripture.
Please note, Mass will immediately follow Stations of the Cross this Friday at approximately 6:30pm. You may join us for one or both services. Feel free to bring a family photo or other artifact to the Mass to help you focus your prayers appropriately.

Seven Last Words of Christ |
As we journey through Holy Week and consider the magnitude of Jesus' sacrifice for us, join us for song, scripture and reflection on The Seven Last Words of Christ as he lay dying on the cross for our salvation. Traditionally celebrated on Good Friday, this time of reflection and song will help us enter more deeply into the Sacred Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. |

Holy Week and Easter
Music Ministry has invited special musical guests throughout Holy Week and has arranged a Brass Quartet for Easter Sunday plus the Charismatic Music Group along with the Handbell Choir at the 10:30am Easter Sunday Mass. All are invited!

With Easter approaching, we definitely sense that Spring is here, but we have one more Winter Supper to finish out the Season on Wednesday, April 20th! Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Grief Share Group, Journey of the Heart, will begin Season 3 on Tuesday, April 26th. Please note, our Appeal Goal this year is $57,572, or about $8,000 less than last year's goal. If our giving to support the Appeal remains consistent with previous years, we will have that much more returned to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. As a reminder, the rebate from the 2022 Annual Appeal is earmarked for installing/upgrading the livestream and video equipment in our worship sites. This will build on the work which is underway to upgrade the sound systems at both worship sites. The upgrade to our sound systems is being funded entirely by donation and rebate from the Annual Catholic Appeal. Looking for a way to decrease your Illinois state income taxes by 75%, while also helping fund scholarships for students to attend Queen of the Rosary School? Make a donation to the Illinois tax credit scholarship program, and help provide eligible students with need-based scholarships that will allow them to attend Queen of the Rosary School.
Last year, at Queen of the Rosary School we were pleased to be able to fund six scholarships! However, five students were left on the waiting list. This year, with your help, we hope to be able to raise enough funds to offer a scholarship to every child on the list.

Totus Tuus is a week-long, summer youth retreat for people in first through 12th grade. Children will grow in their faith through skits, games, songs, the celebration of the sacraments and engaging, interactive teaching. Totus Tuus hosts two programs that will be at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament June 12th to June 17th. Follow this link to learn more and register.

This Sunday, April 10, CLW will be at the 10:30am Mass at QR.
And don't forget to look for the coat rack with the blue drawstring Activity Bags in the vestibule at each church. Children are invited to grab a bag to enjoy learning the Rosary, reading, coloring or working on faith-based puzzles/activities during Mass. Return bags to the coat rack before you leave!

Children's Liturgy of the Word |
We invite children at select Masses—after the opening prayer of the Mass—to join a Children’s Liturgy of the Word leader for a “child-based” lesson on the Scripture of the day. Children return to their parents just before the Liturgy of the Eucharist begins.
- CLW follows the RE calendar and runs from September to May.
- CLW sessions are approximately 15-minutes to discuss the readings of the day
- No registration necessary, children 4-years and older present at the Mass will be invited to CLW by the celebrant
- CLW takes place in the sacristy at QR or in a classroom at SJE
- CLW rotates at the 9:15am or 10:30am Masses, check the Parish calendar for specific dates
- CLW uses the Promise series from Pflaum Weekly

Thank you to all of our OLBS (including QR School) teens for helping to present the Living Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. We enjoyed a surprise visit from Fr. Dan this past Sunday and had a great conversation about walking the way of the cross and sharing this living presentation with the parish. This Sunday will be our final dress rehearsal before our presentation on Good Friday. Great job and good luck, everyone!
Also, if you have not already done so, please sign up to help serve at the April 24 Pancake Breakfast. This will be our last big fundraiser before we head to Montague, Michigan this Summer for Catholic Heart Work Camp! Care Ministers must be mandated and may participate in one or more of the following activities: visits to the Homebound, prayer services at AMITA, AMITA Rehab, Alexian Village or Promedica (formerly Manor Care.)
