Pacific's New Years Resolutions

We have shared with you some of our 2015 planning efforts. We started with meeting with all of our employees as we do each year to get feedback on how to improve service to our customers and employee team. We followed this up with our management team attending our Peer Group meeting in November where we shared our successes and challenges with the 5 other companies. This was followed by part of our team attending the Irrigation Association to learn more about new irrigation conservation products. We then performed our annual survey of customers to get feedback. All this information was then discussed in our annual strategic planning in mid December.

We won't bore you with all the details but some major initiatives are as follows:

1.  UTILIZE TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION

All of our customers are busy and they need us to simplify and make our communication with them more efficient. We are adopting a new Enterprise Software this year that will make managing our properties and communicating with our customers easier. We have been good at managing landscapes and communicating with customers and want to be even better.

2. DEVELOP HOA DIVISION

Although most of our work is commercial/office/retail, about 25% of our work is performed on HOAs and condominiums. This residential work is different and we have not been as consistently successful there as in commercial. We are working toward setting this type of work up as a different division to focus better on the specific needs of HOAs.

3. EXPAND WATER CONSERVATION SERVICES

Water costs continue to rise, significantly faster than inflation, and is an increasing cost of maintaining landscaping. We have always focused on water conservation but new technology is being developed to lower water use even better and we are evaluating and will adopt the best products for use with our customers.

4. BUILD BENCH STRENGTH

Our strong growth this year created a lot of opportunity for several on our team but showed us that to continue our growth we need to have a stronger bench. We will increase recruiting efforts and build a stronger bench to facilitate future growth.

It may be winter but we are busy at work preparing for the 2015 season. We wish you a VERY Happy New Year and we look forward to serving you with the above strategic initiatives.
