2022 Pacific Masters Celebration and Meeting
Sunday, November 13
The 2022 Pacific Masters Annual Celebration and Meeting will be conducted by Zoom, Sunday, November 13 at 1:00 pm. The Celebration and Meeting is free to attend, but registration is required. Enjoy our two featured speakers as they recount their personal aquatic journeys.
Jeff Commings is well known to the Masters Swimming community having distinguished himself as an outstanding competitor, highly successful coach, and prolific author on all things swimming. Prepare to show off your exceptional talents by competing in the virtual Brute Squad: 200-yard butterfly + 400-yard IM + 1650 yard free. Feeling a little less brutish? Choose the Brute Squad Lite: 100-yard butterfly + 200-yard IM + 500 yard free.

Olympian at Olympic Club
Backstroke Clinic with Ryan Murphy
At a recent Olympic Club clinic, Olympic gold medalist Ryan Murphy guided Pacific Masters swimmers in perfecting their backstroke. On deck and in the water, Ryan helped our swimmers understand how to use full-body connection to create maximum power in their stroke. After the pool sessions, Ryan signed autographs, conducted a Q&A session, and talked about his swimming journey. Read More

2022 Pacific Masters Kerry O'Brien Short Course Meters Championships
Results and Recap
In perfect summer-like weather, Walnut Creek Masters hosted the 2022 Kerry O’Brien Pacific Masters Short Course Meters Championships on October 7-9. As Pacific Masters' only short course meters event of the year, over 400 participants registered for the 3-day event, and the results are in. (HINT: some of the record breakers are pictured here!)
A medical emergency occurred during the meet. Manatee Aquatic Masters is thrilled and relieved to report that Head Coach Claire Donaldson is recovering well at home and hopes to be back in the pool and on deck very soon. She and MAM thank everyone who contributed so quickly and capably to the emergency response. Read more

Pacific Masters Monthly Meeting
Wednesday, October 19, Doors Open at 6:45, Meeting at 7 PM
Join us this Wednesday, October 19, for our monthly meeting via the Zoom platform. If this is your first time Zooming, we suggest you sign on a little early to ask questions and address technical issues. Even if you are familiar with Zoom, sign on early to say "hi" to your fellow swimmers.
Our monthly meeting reminder email will provide the Zoom link. If you are not on that list and would like to attend, please send an email to administrator@pacificmasters.org for details. All members are encouraged to participate.

2023 USMS Individual Registration Fees
Opens November 1
Individual 2023 USMS membership will open on November 1. Renew Your Membership between November 1 and December 31 for $65. After December 31 the fee will be $70.

Registration is Open
2023 Club Registration is now at 50%. Keep it up! Remember, club contacts will need to have a MYUSMS login to complete the Club renewal process. Find the USMS Club Registration information page here.
Swimmers, please remind your coach or club contact to get your club registered in October before swimmer registration opens on November 1. If your club is not registered with USMS when you register, you will not be able to select that club during registration.

Scott Williams (1955-2022)
Scott Williams passed away on September 29, 2022. Scott coached on many Pacific Masters teams including Fog City Masters, The Olympic Club, Burlingame Masters, and Rolling Hills Mudsharks. Scott was Pacific Masters Coach of the Year (2004) and the US Masters Swimming Coach of the Year (2004). Scott also coached at Nationals and USMS camps.
Rest In Peace, Scott.
