Vacaville Super Bowl Meet, February 10

Online entries close on Wednesday, February 7th. This is a fun, fast-moving meet offering 50s and 100s of all strokes, 100 and 200 IM, ending with 200 and 500 Freestyle. Location: Walter Graham Aquatic Center, 110 Alamo Dr., Vacaville, CA. Information and Registration


World Aquatics (FINA) Masters Championships, February 23 - March 3, Doha, Qatar

Doha will host the flagship age group event for Masters Aquatics athletes in swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, and open water swimming. Find the calendar of events here. Find general information here.


Splash and Dash Sprint Pentathlon, February 24

More fun, fast-paced action will be had at the Albany Aquatic Center, CA. Events: 50s of all the strokes, 100 IM, ending with the added thrills of team spirit with the 200 Freestyle Relay and 200 Medley Relay. Registration is now closed. The City Mile, February 25

Pacific Masters Relays, March 17

Mark your calendars for a fun RELAY ONLY meet this spring on St. Patrick's Day in Pacifica. In addition to the typical 200-medley and free relays, this event will feature relays for each of the other strokes and IM (4 X 50 breast, 4 X 50 fly, 4 X 50 back, 4 X 100 IM). Show off your talents with a fun 100 (4 X 25) yard relay that will be judged on apparel and creativity of swim. Relay team members do not have to be from the same club. Information and Registration

The swimming event is part of the overall Senior Games, Bay Area, and will be held at the Rinconada Pool in Palo Alto. 50 years and older swimmers, come join the fun! Information and Registration

This is a new addition to our Pacific Masters line-up, to be held at the beautiful Miwok Aquatic Center in Novato. Stay tuned for details.


USMS Spring Nationals, IU Natatorium, Indianapolis, IN, June 20-24

Registration is now open

The Spring Nationals is back at the IU Natatorium. The meet will take place during the final weekend of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Swimming, which are scheduled for June 15–23 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Information and Registration

Call for 2024 Coach of the Year (COTY) Nominations

Deadline: March 15 


Do you have a coach that went above and beyond in 2023? Please consider recognizing your amazing coach by nominating them for the Pacific Masters Coach of the Year Award! Submissions should include a nomination letter along with a maximum of four support letters.


A description of the award along with the nomination and selection process can be found here. More details can be found here. This award will be presented at our Pacific Masters SCY Championships, May 18. This means we have a little extra time to get those nomination packets together this year! Nominations for the Pacific Masters Coach of the Year are due Friday, March 15, 2024, and should be sent to the Chair of Pacific Masters.

Bridge to Masters Grant Program

Applications Due May 1


Pacific Masters Swimming’s Adult Learn to Swim (ALTS) and Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Committees announce a Bridge to Masters Grant Program to support local masters clubs in their efforts to bring inexperienced swimmers and/or graduates of their ALTS programs into their masters swimming programs. The grants will provide $500-$1000 to clubs to help fund Bridge to Masters programs in a number of ways, including subsidizing a portion of USMS membership fees for first-time Bridge to Masters swimmers or covering coaching and pool rental fees for Bridge to Masters swimmers.


Applications must made on behalf of a registered Pacific Masters Swim Club and are due by May 1, 2024. Grant recipients will be notified by June 1, 2024. Please request an application form from ALTS Chair, Kim Elsbach at:

Captain Ransom J. Arthur MD Award

Nominations Due March 15


This award is given in honor of Captain Ransom J. Arthur, M.D., who, by his sacrifice, perseverance, and dedication to improving the health of adults through swimming, established the Masters Swimming program in the United States. The award is given annually to the USMS volunteer who has done the most to further the objectives of Masters Swimming, generally over an extended period of time.
