Women's Ice Cream Social

Meet new and old friends over a sweet treat! Join PUMC's Women in Faith for another ice cream social this Sunday, July 28 at 6pm at the Ice Cream Parlor in Southern Pines. We will get together all summer long on the last Sunday of the month!

Fall Short Study

"More than ever, politics seem to be driven by discord. People sitting together in pews every Sunday feel like strangers and loved ones at the dinner table feel like enemies. Toxic political dialogue, hate-filled rants on social media, and agenda-driven news stories have become the new norm. But it doesn't have to be this way."

Join Pastors Katie and Jabe this fall for a book study on I Think You're Wrong (But I'm Listening): A Guide to Grace-Filled Political Conversations. We will meet Tuesdays at 6pm Aug. 27 - Oct. 29. Email Pastor Katie by August 12 to register. Books provided. 

School Supplies Due Aug. 4

Thank you for your generosity! Drop off filled bags at the church by August 4. Please fill bags according to the list in the bag. There is a seperate box for any extra supplies to be donated to Boys & Girls Club to replenish kids' supplies as needed throughout the school year.

Pastor's Bible Study Resumes

Pastor's Bible Study returns in August! We meet in the last classroom on the left every Wednesday 9:30-11am. For the month of August, we will spend time in the Gospel of Mark, and then we will jump back into Romans 7, where we left off before summer break! All are welcome. 

End of Summer Pool Party

Join us after the 11:00 service on August 25th for lunch and a pool party at Pine Grove Village Pool (100 Laurel Ln, Pinehurst) to celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year! All are invited to join!

Notes of Thanks

Dear Church Family,

Thank you for your prayers, cards, calls and flowers for Bob as he experienced breathing problems and a trip to the ER. Special thanks to the Baldwins and Owens who helped in our time of need when Jan had no transportation to the hospital. Bob is improving and finding out answers from various doctors. We are so blessed to be in the PUMC congregation. Thank you, Pastor Katie for coming to the hospital.

Pinehurst UMC has a Hearing Loop. The system provides clear sound directly to hearing aids with a t-coil. If you do not have a t-coil, a limited amount of headsets are available during worship.
