Night at the Museum
The PULSE Social Committee recently hosted an event with our sponsor, The Harp Gallery, at the Hearthstone Museum in Appleton. The night was filled with networking, tours, snacks, and excitement! The YPs were spoiled by the staff and volunteers of the Hearthstone as they greeted them in time appropriate costumes and assisted them with questions about the house.
“Night at the Museum was a huge success!” says PULSE member Carissa Paul. “Not only did we have over 30 YPs come together to socialize and network, but we explored the first private residence anywhere in the world to be illuminated using hydroelectricity from a central Edison system! Thank you, Harp Gallery Antique & Vintage Furniture, for sponsoring such a fun and unique opportunity for us YPs!”
Coffee and Conversation
Our second Coffee and Conversation was hosted by the Advocacy Committee at Lawlss Coffee in Appleton on April 3rd. Over 30 YPs came to grab coffee and chat with each other before starting their day. This event will take place every other month as another way to network and get connected with other YPs while fueling your morning. All are welcome!

Meet David Kalsow
Sales Engineer
Arrow AV Group
Meet David Kalsow! David is a Sales Engineer for Arrow AV Group where he helps organizations simplify their audiovisual technology to drive their success. Beyond that, he works as Marketing Coordinator and has revamped Arrow AV Group’s website – check it out! He grew up in Mazomanie, WI, south of Madison where he found a love of theatre and music. On his day off, he works on his side hustle podcast, cooks, reads, and plays games. In the Fox Cities, some of his favorite things include attending Mile of Music, trap shooting at Triple J’s, frolfing at Grignon Park, or enjoying espresso or lemonade at FOME.
What attracted you to the Fox Cities?
“More like which attractive person attracted me to the Fox Cities! That’s my wife, Lindsay Kalsow. What keeps me around is the urban/rural mix. I can drive 15 minutes downtown and experience some of the best food and art north of Milwaukee. On the flip, I can ride a bike to Bubolz Nature Preserve to enjoy some nature and slow down walking the trails.”
What has been your favorite PULSE event?
“Hearthstone Museum! No, I’m not just picking it because it’s the most recent event… I’m a certifiable nerd so learning about the Rogers family, their servants, and the FIRST hydroelectric power home in the world? Amazing. Lots of great folks to talk to but I’m sure they were annoyed with how many questions I was asking during the tour.”
If you’d like to connect with David, reach out on LinkedIn.
