Worship with Us this Sunday

May 22, 2022 | 10:00am In-person and Facebook Live… later YouTube

Our scriptures are Psalm 67 and John 14:23-29 where Jesus talks more about some of his favorite topics: love, peace and the Holy Spirit. How does this resonate with you? What do you say about this trio? What do you believe?

Environmental Inspiration

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together …all things connect. ~Chief Seattle

You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make. ~Jane Goodall

(Formerly Neighborhood Houses);

We are excited to tell you that there’s a new driver in Missouri – the father in the Afghan Family we have been welcoming with Shaare Emeth and TASOM.

Please be aware of any of your friends, relatives, neighbors, coworkers, or others who

might be ready to sell, donate, or give away a van or large SUV (6 or more seats).

We would also consider vehicles that have been leased and are about to reach the end of the lease.

The vehicle should be well cared for and in good/excellent condition.

It would be marvelous if this vehicle would be a Honda, Toyota, Nissan or Subaru . . . but we will happily consider ALL manufacturers. We would also welcome any financial contributions toward the purchase of a vehicle.

Thank you for your support as we continue to help these new Americans gain more independence.

4 minutes about NAMI – National Association of Mental Illness…May is Mental Health Awareness Month

What did the seed say to the flower?

Ok bloomer…

What did the tree say when it first saw spring?

What a re-leaf!

Why couldn’t the flower ride a bike on the first day of spring?

It didn’t have petals yet…

Widening Circles

Rainer Maria Rilke

I live my life in widening circles

that reach out across the world.

I may not complete this last one

but I give myself to it.

I circle around God, around the primordial tower.

I’ve been circling for thousands of years

and I still don’t know: am I a falcon,

a storm, or a great song?

Reproductive Justice

Please click on these links to learn more about our denominational stance and resources in this important conversation. Our UCC has supported reproductive justice issues since the 1960’s.

Reproductive Justice represents a broad analysis of racial, economic, cultural, and structural constraints on women’s power. The right to have children, to not have children, and to parent children in safe and healthy environments is a human right.
