Hello, 113A Families!

The new school year is off to a fantastic start!

During the 2023-24 school year, the PTO raised over $35,000 from Mum Sales, Charleston Wrap, our Annual Glow Party, and more!

All funds raised are used to provide staff appreciation meals and snack bars, purchase PBIS incentives for students, purchase classroom supplies for students and staff and enhance student experiences, such as Field Day, Cardinal Day, and more. The PTO also has funds set aside for each principal to request items throughout the school year.

Did you know!?! The PTO surprised all certified staff at the start of the school year with $50 each to enhance their classroom supplies, rewards, or additional materials. The PTO was able to do that because of our families fundraising and supporting the PTO!

The PTO is excited to announce a new meeting format for the 2024-25 School Year. All meetings will take place on the second Tuesday of the month at Old Quarry, starting at 7 p.m. Each meeting will have a special guest from District 113A to talk to families about what's new or happening in the district for 30 minutes. The second half of the meeting will be a 30-minute update on upcoming PTO events, fundraisers, PTO spending, and ways to get involved!

Last year the PTO introduced Party Boxes which were a great success. Each classroom receives a box with party materials - crafts, games, activities, etc. This creates an equitable party experience for all classrooms across the grade levels and lessens the workload for volunteering parents. Room parents and grade-level lead parents will coordinate the creation of three party boxes this year for Halloween, Winter, and the End of the Year parties.

To cover the expenses, the PTO requests a $10 classroom party fee from each child K - 5th grade. The PTO knows not all families are in a position to donate, however, we work with the funds donated to provide an equitable party experience for every student. If you are interested in donating an additional amount towards classroom party funds, the PTO thanks you in advance! Please see the payment options below, and submit your classroom party payment no later than Friday, September 13th.

Please note, that the payment options for the PTO have changed this year. In an effort, to help 113A become cashless in the buildings, the PTO will not be collecting payments via teachers or office staff. We are exploring all our payment options and evaluating what will work best for our families while being able to support our students and staff with the least impact.

PTO Classroom Party CC Checkout

The PTO is excited to host the 2nd annual Back to School Bash for families on Friday, September 13 from 4-7 pm. This event is FREE for families and will have tons of activities for everyone to enjoy! Inflatables, live music, face painting, hair tinsel/spray, games, 7 food trucks, and more! We can't wait to see all our families for a night of fun!
