PTC FAQ & Reminders
Class Leader FAQ
Do I need to purchase a new Helpbook for every class?
Yes. Whether it is a paper or eBook, a new book needs to be purchased for each new class leader.

Does it matter if a caregiver does not have a webcam or their audio is broken?
Yes, when facilitating virtually, participants must have audio and webcams. It is important that you be able to see faces while facilitating. If someone has trouble with audio, reach out to that person with support and with resources.

Can I record the class if someone cannot make the class time?
No. Recording of classes, whether in-person or virtual, is NOT permitted. It is essential that we provide a private and safe environment so participants feel comfortable enough to share.

Can a caregiver's care recipient or other visitors attend the class?
No, guests or visitors (including care receivers) are NOT permitted to attend the class series. This class should remain a private time for caregivers.

Can I have a guest speaker come?
Guest speakers should not be included as part of the class series; however, a speaker can come afterward and should be optional to caregivers.

Can I lead the class series by myself?
No, PTC class series should only be led by TWO to THREE PTC licensed class leaders. In addition to program fidelity, it is important to have more than one class leader due to the strong emotions in caregivers (or possibly you) elicited by the material. The presence of two class leaders allows one class leader to step out if needed.
