Good morning PSR families!

This past weekend was a glorious reminder of the beauty of fall, and celebrating our Blessed Mother's Birthday yesterday. If you didn't have a chance to sing Mary Happy Birthday yesterday, tonight is a great opportunity to catch up and surprise your kids with a special treat to mark this great day.

We've added a section to our website that contains our newsletters, and we will keep that updated throughout the year. If you ever delete a message and need to look back, hop on over to our landing page.

Mark 8:27-35

This Sunday we hear Jesus posing the question of "Who do you say that I am?" to His disciples. When Peter correctly identifies Jesus as the Christ, Jesus warns them to tell no one of this. Jesus goes on to say how He will have to suffer greatly at the hands of the elders and chief priests, and Peter speaks against this suffering. Jesus rebukes Peter and shares with His disciples that if we are to follow Him, we must take up our crosses and follow Him. We are all like Peter at different points in our lives; excited to know who Jesus is and to proclaim that to others, saddened when the one we love is called to suffer, and perhaps hesitant to pick up our own crosses. The good news is, wherever we find ourselves today and everyday, that Jesus is right there beside us helping us along the way!

On the way to Mass:  What do you think is the hardest part of following Jesus?

On the way home from Mass: Why do you think Peter was so upset when Jesus said he would have to suffer and die?

Challenge of the Week: We all endure small and large hardships each day. One night this week have each member of the family share one thing that is hard right now. Offer a prayer and word of encouragement for each person.
