Every spring as I prepare my speeches for graduation ceremonies, I like to sit down with a group of soon-to-be graduates to get to know them better and learn about their high school experiences. Here are a few of the inspiring things they shared about their shared high school experiences and the unique pathways they plan to take after graduation.

Board Recognitions and Resolutions for May 2024


Each month, the Board of Education honors PSD students, staff, and community partners for their accomplishments and recognizes special months, weeks, and days. Below are links to video clips of May's recognitions and resolutions:

Applicants needed for student, PSD accountability groups


Student Advisory Council (StAC)

StAC is seeking students who will be in grades 9-12 in 2024-25 to serve on the council. StAC students share their thoughts on district-level topics with PSD leaders. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on Aug. 18. Follow this link to the application.>>

 

District Accountability Committee (DAC)

DAC - a group that offers suggestions to the school board about the district’s spending priorities and other topics - is seeking four new members to serve two-year terms. The open spots are for a middle school parent or guardian, an English Language Learner parent or guardian, and an early childhood program parent or guardian, plus a business person. Spots will remain open until filled. Learn more about DAC on the PSD website.>>
