2024 property taxes due June 30

June 24, 2024

The City of Edmonton reminds property owners that the due date for property taxes is June 30. A five per cent penalty on any outstanding 2024 amounts will be charged to accounts on July 1, with further penalties later in the year. Property tax bills cannot be appealed.

There are many ways to pay your property taxes, including at most financial institutions, by telephone, online banking or by mail.

Ensure you have enough time for your payment to be processed by June 30, and reach out to the City early if you have any questions. There are often high payment volumes as the due date approaches, and June 30 falls on a Sunday this year. Check the hours at your financial institution and ensure there is enough time for the transaction to process.

Property owners can review their balance and confirm whether payments have been received at myproperty.edmonton.ca. To sign up for a MyProperty account, property owners can use the unique access code found on their latest tax notice.

Property taxes help fund 70 municipal programs that Edmontonians rely on, including fire rescue, roadway maintenance, police and public transit.
