Magical Things are Happening at PRS, but we need your help! 5 more days to donate!

One week into this Annual Campaign and our magical parents/guardians have already donated $8,800 towards our $20,000 goal by October 7 - thank you!. As of now, grade 5 is in the lead for participation, with grade 2 close behind! Remember the grade with the highest percentage of participation (not dollar amount) wins a magic show at PRS! Ask your child/children what magic trick they saw at Friday’s All School Meeting :) Or watch here to find out! Please click here to view the Magical Things Annual Campaign Flyer, learn more about PTO programming and to make your donation. Thank you!

Mad About Science is a reading program for students in grades 2-4 and their families. The program was created to provide quality science literature to elementary children while fostering a connection between home and school. The first bag distribution will be October 14th. Learn more about the program and sign up here.

Please join the Green Team on Wednesday, October 5th - the first early release day - for a PRS playground cleanup!

We'll meet right at 11:30 am by the basketball shed. Dismiss your student(s) as walkers, bring a garbage bag and some work/gardening gloves, and let's get the playgrounds cleaned up!

BOKS Volunteers and Registration

Keep an eye out for a flyer in your child's backpack to register for the awesome before-school activity program, BOKS! Kids love this program but spaces are limited. The best way to secure a spot for your child is to become a volunteer! It's not a huge commitment-- classes will run from 7:30-8:10am two days a week for six weeks. Questions can be directed to Coleen Power

SEPAC Kick-Off Meeting!

Thursday, October 6th at 7:00 p.m.

Hingham Middle School Auditorium

Join the SEPAC community for our first meeting of the school year. This is an opportunity to meet with other parents in the special education community and share questions, concerns or issues. The SEPAC Board will talk through a few preliminary initiatives for the year and solicit input from parents. Dr. Suzanne Vinnes, Executive Director of Student Services, will provide an overview of key special education programming at the elementary, middle and high school levels. We hope to see you there!

Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day!

Please mark your calendars to join us for Friday, October 14th for PRS PTO's Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day. We’re excited to encourage and celebrate active, healthy and climate-friendly modes of transportation.

THE PRS FALL BOOK FAIR! This hallmark fall event will be held in the gym 11/7 - 11/9 from 2:30-4:00pm on Monday and Tuesday, and 4-7pm on Wednesday. We look forward to seeing you all, and your children, there! Foster your children's love of reading while also doing some early holiday shopping, all in support of PRS!
